Pastor Appreciation Month
Here at Belmont Church we are blessed with the best! Happy Pastor Appreciation Month Pastor Tom and Sherri. Our congregation thanks you and Sherri for being there for us during our hardest moments. Your prayers, counseling, and steady presence have helped us navigate difficult seasons, and we will never forget your kindness. Your sermons challenge us and help us grow. Thank you for spending hours studying and preparing the messages you share. Our spiritual lives are richer because of your dedication to the Word. Thank you and Sherri for giving so much of your time and energy to us. We see the sacrifices you make behind the scenes to be our Shepherd. You both are deeply loved.
Attention Ladies
Currently we have 2 Bands of Women groups that meet during each month (a morning group and an evening group). Beginning in November we will be offering a third group that will have meetings in the afternoons. If you are not part of a Band of Women group, prayerfully consider coming to one of the gatherings. You will find the time spent is a wonderful time of devoti8on, prayer, and fellowship with other ladies.

Choir
Our choir will begin rehearsals once again following the summer break on Wednesday, September 9th at 7:00 pm. We look forward to seeing our members and we are also in search of some folks that would be interested in joining our choir. Come and make a joyful noise unto the Lord!
Bible Study - Wednesdays
Even in the heart of summer, God's Word continues to guide and encourage us. Our Bible studies are ongoing and we meet every Wednesday starting at 6:00 pm in the church fellowship room. Whether you've been attending or are just getting started, there is always a place for you to join.
Youth Leaders wanted
Teenagers are navigating a complex world and they need trusted adults to walk with them. Belmont church is looking for vibrant youth leaders to join our ministry team. If you love teenagers, like having fun, and want to help them discover a lasting faith, we need you. Call Pastor Tom if you are interested.
Bibles
Lindsey Rolley will be collecting bibles for an outreach program for those suffering from addiction. If you have any bibles that you could donate to the ministry, bring them to church for Lindsey.
Wellness Ministry
Belmont Church is bringing back a healthy practice. Blood pressures will be taken the first Sunday, after the service, in the Fellowship hall. Anyone in the congregation who is able to take a blood pressure is wanted and needed to be a part of this wellness ministry. The church has stethoscopes and blood pressure cuffs. You don't have to purchase them. If you have your own and want to use your own, you can do so. Kindly share your talent/skill once a month for the good and well being of our church community.
"Call-Em-All"
We at Belmont Church are excited because we have been seeing new faces in church. We welcome each and everyone! Belmont Church has a phone service that is called "Call-Em-All". We utilize this service to periodically make calls to announce upcoming events, worship reminders, or just about anything that needs to be shared with our flock. If you would like to have your phone number added to our list, please drop a note in the collection plate with your name and phone number, or call the church secretary at 814-266-3964 with your information. We promise that your phone number is kept confidential and is not shared with anyone.
Adult Sunday School
Our adult Sunday School class meets every Sunday at 9:00 am. Please consider attending Sunday School. This class is full of some very wonderful folks. We promise this will touch your life and help you grown as a Christian.
Food Pantry
Keep in mind that Belmont Church is always collecting canned goods and non-perishable foods for the Moxham Food Pantry. The food pantry is a vital resource for many in our community. Everyone needs a helping hand at some point in their life. There are many people that do not know where their next meal is coming from. There is a table in the Narthex and one in the Fellowship Room downstairs. Thank you for your continued support.

Upcoming Events
Trunk or Treat - Thursday October 29th
Trunk or Treat will be in our brand new pavilion on Thursday October 29th from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
If you would like to participate, bring your favorite Halloween decorations, wear your costume, and bring treats for the kiddos. Always a fun time.
Daylight Savings Time Ends - Sunday November 1st
Reminder to change you clocks, fall back, one hour on Saturday night before going to sleep.
Once again, daylight savings time is coming to an end.
Honoring Veterans Day & All Saints Day - November 1st
A special worship service is being planned for November 1st, to honor Veterans Day and All Saints Day. If you would like to honor or remember a person that served or is serving in the military , or to remember someone that was significant role model, email a picture and the name of the person to bcciphotos@gmail.com. If you have any questions or need assistance, please call the church office at 814-266-3964.
Annual Charge Conference - November 8, 2026
Belmont Community Church Annual Charge Conference will be held on Sunday November 8th. Prayerfully consider volunteering your time to serve in an office. If you hold an office and you are no longer interested in serving in that office, please let Pastor Tom know asap.
OCC Collection Week - November 16th-23rd
This is the Annual Collection Week for shoeboxes. Belmont is the Collection Site for the surrounding area.
Hours are:
10:00 am - 3:00 pm Monday - Friday
11:00 am - 3:00 pm Saturday and Sunday
9:00 - 12:00 pm on Monday November 23rd when they will travel to Hollidaysburg to be delivered to tractor trailers and transported to a Processing Center, (probably Baltimore). Volunteers come and go as their time permits and as always, a lunch is provided!!
Membership Class
If you or someone you know is interested in attending a New Membership Class for Belmont CC of Johnstown, please let Pastor Tom know.
Membership class will start on Sunday December 3, 2026 and go for approximately 3 Sundays.
It is more then just joining the church. If you want to learn more about the Global Methodist, feel free to attend.
